Clark Pinnock

Clark Pinnock (1937–2010), Canadian Baptist theologian who taught for many years at McMaster Divinity College and became a leading voice of Open Theism.

Early in his career he was a strong defender of Biblical Inerrancy and of Calvinism. He later moved to Arminianism, and then co-wrote The Openness of God (1994), which launched the open theism debate among evangelicals. He also defended Annihilationism. In 2003 the Evangelical Theological Society voted on whether his views were compatible with membership, and he remained a member.
