Rob Bell

Rob Bell (born 1970), American author and speaker who founded Mars Hill Bible Church in Grandville, Michigan, and became widely known through his books and short films.

His book Love Wins (2011) questioned the traditional teaching on Hell and suggested that God’s love may in the end reach everyone. It is usually described as hopeful universalism, though Bell declined the universalist label. The book provoked strong public responses from evangelical leaders and renewed debate over Eternal Conscious Torment. He left Mars Hill in 2012.
