Anglican

The Church of England and the churches descended from it, now a worldwide communion that keeps bishops and historic liturgy while accepting key Reformation teachings.

The break with Rome came in 1534, when the Act of Supremacy made Henry VIII head of the English church. Under Edward VI, Thomas Cranmer produced the Book of Common Prayer (1549), and the Thirty-Nine Articles followed under Elizabeth I. Anglicans keep Episcopal Polity and describe their church as both catholic and reformed.
